Diploma and Masters Programs in Community Eye Health
The L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) will offer a Diploma in Community Eye Health (DCEH) and a Masters program in Community Eye Health (MCEH) in 2012.
The DCEH program is six-months long and the MCEH program is 11-months long. Both programs aim to help professionals and organizations improve the quality of eye care within their community, thus reducing blindness and visual impairment on a larger scale.
The DCEH program is structured to include six progressive courses having to do with community health and eye care.
The fees and stipends for this program are staggered according to students coming from low income, middle income, or high income countries.
Please see the following PDF for information about admission, fees, and more: www.lvpei.org/images/dceh_jan12.pdf
The LVPEI also offers a MCEH in collaboration with the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Those who have completed the DCEH program with at least 65% can take lateral entry to the Masters program. The MCEH program will commence January 02, 2012 and continue until November 2012.
