ICO Elects Officers, Members to Board and Advisory Committee

The ICO is very fortunate to have the service of several new members on the Board of Trustees and Advisory Committee, along with the continued service of four ICO Officers, who were re-elected at WOC 2010 in Berlin.
Seven new members were added to the ICO Board of Trustees:
- Pinar Aydin, MD, Turkey
- Emilio Campos, MD, Italy
- Daniel Kiage, MD, Kenya
- Xiaoxin Li, MD, China
- Paul Lichter, MD, United States
- Eduardo Mayorga, MD, Argentina
- Janos Nemeth, MD, Hungary
- Tetsuro Oshika, MD, Tokyo
Dr. Mayorga is the ICO Director for E-Learning, a newly created position. Paul Lichter, MD, returns to the Board as President of Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis, and Tetsuro Oshika, MD, joins as President of the 2014 WOC in Tokyo. Four new members were elected to the ICO Advisory Committee:
- Mohamad Elsada, MD, Egypt
- Santosh Honavar, MD, India
- Charles McGhee, FRCOphth, PhD, New Zealand
- Thanh Hoang Xuan, MD, France

And finally, the four current officers of the ICO were re-elected through 2014:
- President – Bruce Spivey, MD, United States
- Vice President – Akef El Maghraby, MD, Saudi Arabia
- Secretary General – Jean-Jacques De Laey, MD, Belgium
- Treasurer – Hugh Taylor, AC, MD, Australia.
