MEACO to Host WOC 2012 in Abu Dhabi

On behalf of the Middle East Africa Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO), and the ICO, you are cordially invited to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for the 33rd World Ophthalmology Congress February 16 – 20, 2012.
This is the first time the WOC will be held in the Middle East and Africa Region, and Abu Dhabi was chosen for its vibrancy, convenience, and excellent facilities.
The ICO will be organizing the scientific program and has named Peter Wiedemann, MD, of Leipzig, Germany, to lead the development of the scientific program for this and future WOCs. Dr. Wiedemann succeeds Steven Ryan, MD, who chaired the scientific program committee for previous WOCs in Sao Paulo (2006), Hong Kong (2008) and Berlin (2010).
WOC 2012 will offer an excellent scientific program in a unique city with rich cultural heritage. It is sure to be a lively, educational, historic Congress and we look forward to seeing you there.
