ICO Fellowship Donors

ICO Three-Month Fellowships for Diagnosis and Therapy of Retinoblastoma Fellows will be exposed to the following:

1. Examination under anaesthesia: Approximately 300 cases of retinoblastoma in 3 months (new cases + follow-up cases included)

Procedues include:


• Examination
• Transpulillary thermotherapy
• Cryotherapy
• Periocular chemotherapy
• Intravitreal chemotherapy


2. Surgical exposure:
Live surgeries + 3D recorded video demonstration of:


• Enucleation
• Plaque radiotherapy
• Exenteration


3. Pathology exposure
• Grossing an eyeball with retinoblastoma
• Histopathology of retinoblastoma


4. Medical oncology
• Calculation of dose for systemic chemotherapy
• Calculation of dose for plaque radiotherapy


5. Ocularistry


6. Vision rehabilitation/Centre for sight enhancement


7. Project related to retinoblastoma


8. Didactic lectures on retinoblastoma
